Kreditech, the consumer finance technology Group, today announced that Sven Weizenegger joined as SVP of Cyber Security. He will be responsible for a newly created department focusing on security strategy and architecture as well as supporting key IT projects and services on all levels of the organization.
Weizenegger brings along an extensive experience of more than 13 years in the IT and telecom security business. With his strong interest in information technologies since high school, Weizenegger started his career at Deutsche Telekom in 2002 as one of the first corporate hackers in order to test systems for the firm. Amongst his major successes he initiated and built a global partnership with Fireeye, a leading company in cyber security. Also he was part of the core team of the Cyber Security Summit of Munich Security Conference from 2012 to 2014, being responsible for the organization as well as speaker acquisition of this high-profile security event.
As a mentor and an incubator from Deutsche Telekom, Weizenegger consulted many startup firms and hence has a profound understanding of the needs of early and growth-stage businesses. With his in-depth knowledge of the cyberspace and his unique insights in security architectures he is also a renowned speaker and panelist on the topic.
