Bret Hart

Professional wrestling legend Bret (Hitman) Hart is getting into the small business funding sector, at least as a pitch man.

Hart is teaming with First Down Funding managing partner Paul Pitcher to launch Sharp Shooter Funding, a platform lending to Canadian businesses.

Sharp Shooter Funding’s website, decorated in Hart’s signature pink and black colours, offers a three-step process for merchant advances, invoice factoring and business loans. There are few details about interest rates, but they claim to approve 95 per cent of applications.

The site and company follow a similar design to First Down Funding, a Maryland-based company employing Baltimore Ravens linebacker C.J. Mosley as its spokesperson. First Down Funding offers one- to five-year terms at rates between 5.49 per cent and 22.79 per cent.

No word on whether the Repo Man will join the collections team.
