Toronto-based fintech Dream Payments has added to its management team with a trio of hires.
Jordan Cohen has been appointed as Chief Commercial Operator. Mr. Cohen spent nine years as CIBC’s Vice President of Merchant Card Services and 12 as President of Globe Payments Canada, a merchant acquisition firm.
Christian Ali is Dream’s new Chief Marketing Officer. Mr. Ali has previous vice presidencies in product management and development at EnStream LP, R3D Consulting and SecureKey Technologies on his resume.
Priya Sirwani is now Chief Information Security Officer. Mrs. Sirwani has worked in IT risk, information security and compliance at companies in Canada and Dubai.
Dream Payments launched its Canadian MPOS and mobile payments service last year. It enables Interac Debit and Chip & Pin credit card payment terminals to be sold off the shelf.
“As Dream continues through its next phases of rapid growth, Jordan, Christian and Priya bring the talent and expertise needed to expand the business globally,” CEO and Founder Brent Ho-Young said. “Dream’s mission to bring best-of-breed devices, application partners, and distribution channels to merchants, acquirers and other trusted brands is being realized.”
Mr. Ho-Young added the three will help the company as it expands into Europe, Latin America and the United States.
Mrs. Sirwani explained Dream Payments’ competitive advantage.
“Dream’s end-to-end encryption and tokenization technology delivers a complete out-of-the-box certified solution. We have worked closely with the world’s leading banks to ensure that merchants have complete peace of mind that their business’s data is secured by the most advanced technologies and processes available today.”
