Prosper Marketplace now using DirectID verification service

Customer identity verification and underwriting provider DirectID has added seven new lenders across three continents, including Prosper.

DirectID combines identity verification, affordability testing for underwriting, and payment confirmation into one hosted solution..

“DirectID enables responsible lenders to better serve their customers through fast and fair underwriting decisions based on an applicant’s true ability to repay,” said CEO James Varga. “We deliver a more accurate, streamlined and pleasing process with better outcomes for both borrowers and lenders.”

In a release, DirectID said the average identity verification time is 24 seconds. DirectID also offers up to 365 days of read-only certified bank statement transaction data.

In addition to Prosper, DirectID also announced it is working with Australia’s Bigstone Capital and Mortgageport, along with five firms from the United Kingdom: Amigo Loans, eMoneyUnion, Fair Finance, Fleximize and gkCredit.
