Singaporean digital security company V-Key has partnered with Ant Financial Services which will see the former’s V-OS virtual software deployed to help Ant secure transactions on AliExpress, one of Alibaba’s international ecommerce platforms.
Ant Financial is a related company to Alibaba. V-Key will provide additional cryptographic services, risk management and trusted environments to help secure payments processed by Alibaba on AliExpress.
In a release V-Key said V-OS is deployed by banks, mobile payment operators and governments. It encrypts card and cardholder data to produce more secure user authentication. That allows for the cloud-based payments, trusted digital identities and authentications needed for banking and other mobile applications.
“With the rapid uptake in mobile payments, e-commerce threats are becoming smarter, bigger and more sophisticated,” V-Key cofounder and CEO Benjamin Mah said. “They pose a threat not just to end users but also to the reputation of our partners.
“To stay ahead, V-Key has invested considerable time and effort to build the world’s leading virtual mobile cybersecurity suite of solutions. With our all-in-one virtual element V-OS we look to future proof mobile wallets against advanced threats by protecting end-user information.”
