Healthcare app Figure 1 announced this week its one million healthcare professionals have viewed cases on the platform more than two billion times.
Figure 1 connects healthcare professionals and medical students from more than 190 countries. Using iOS, Android or the web, the free app allows medical professionals to connect with colleagues and view medical cases sorted by specialty and anatomy. Its users include New York’s Mount Sinai Health System and Doctors Without Borders.
“Since we launched Figure 1 three years ago, we have experienced tremendous growth and momentum,” Figure 1 cofounder Dr. Joshua Landy said. “The global demand for Figure 1 shows how important immediate collaboration is for the healthcare community, and we couldn’t be happier to see medical professionals and students come together on the platform to improve their practice.
“At Figure 1 we strongly believe that every patient deserves the best care, no matter their location or resources.”
Figure 1 is available in Portuguese, which has allowed it to register more than 100,000 users in Brazil (its second largest market after the United States). More than 70 per cent of American medical students are registered with Figure 1.
