Canadian mineral exploration company Cordoba Minerals Corporation sits atop OTC Markets Group’s 2017 OTCQX Best 50, a ranking of top performing OTCQX companies in 2017.
The OTCQX Best 50 is an annual ranking of the top 50 U.S. and international companies traded on the OTCQX Best Market, based on equal weighting of one-year total return and average daily volume growth attained in 2016.
“Our annual ranking recognizes the outstanding companies that make up the OTCQX Best Market, issuers that are not only growing and enhancing shareholder value but are committed to providing an efficient and transparent market for their investors,” OTC Markets Group EVO of corporate services Jason Paltrowitz said.
The 50 companies combined to trade $3.4 billion in dollar volume last year. Their average total return was 130 per cent.
Cordoba Minerals had a total return of 466 per cent and is but one of several Canadian companies on the list. The top American company was First Federal of Northern Michigan Bancorp, Inc, which came in third. Nine community banks made the list.
Five companies from the 2016 list returned this year: adidas AG, Citba Financial Corp., Nemaska Lithium, Inc, Nexgen Energy and Pure Multi-Family REIT LP.
