Blockchain-based loyalty program incentivizing platform Chain of Points has appointed Jeff Pulver to its advisory board where he will assist with platform development and advise CEO Irene Katzela.
Mr. Pulver helped create and nurture the VoIP industry and founded pulver.com, Free World Dialup, Vonage, VON Coalition and MoNage. He was the chief writer of the Pulver Order, which the Federal Communications Commission adopted as its first ruling on Internet Protocol communications.
“The Pulver Order is the reason why consumers are able to use services like Facetime, WhatsApp, and Messenger for free, and the reason why Microsoft, Facebook and Apple are not regulated as communication service providers,” Chain of Points said in a statement.
“I believe it is an exciting time to become involved with Chain of Points because the start-up has found a unique way to disrupt the loyalty industry, especially for small and medium sized businesses,” Mr. Pulver said. “Merchants and customers will find it so much easier to utilize rewards through Chain of Points, and I am honored to help them navigate their path to becoming an industry heavyweight.”
