The agency charged with growing France’s fintech industry marked the fifth anniversary of Fin&Tech Community by awarding its certificate of excellence to 53 young companies. Finance Innovation bestowed the honors at a biannual industry event.
“Our aim is to increase the visibility of French fintech companies, to improve their access to finance and to give them the support of a network of professional contacts which can help them to develop their entrepreneurial projects,” managing director Joëlle Durieux said.
The honorees came from six different sectors:
- Insurance (11)
- Banking (11)
- Asset management (10)
- Accounting/consulting (7)
- Social enterprise (7)
- Real estate (6)
After assisting more than 80 companies in 2016, Finance Innovation has a larger goal in mind this time, its president said.
“In 2017, our goal is to assist more than a hundred start-ups,” Jean-Hervé Lorenzi said. “Finance Innovation’s certificate is a mark of quality which stimulates financial innovation within mainland France and helps to spread the word about France’s entrepreneurial talent beyond our borders.”
