Business financing platform Merchant Cash and Capital (MCC) has promoted Tomo Matsuo to Chief Operating Officer. The appointment is effective immediately.
Mr. Matsuo’s responsibilities expand to include making sure current operations align with future planning. He retains oversight of Business Intelligence and overseas operations.
“Tomo has been instrumental in helping transform the MCC family of companies into data-driven providers of alternative financing to small businesses that recently crossed $1 billion in originations,” MCC Founder Stephen Sheinbaum said. “His advances to our process automation, data analysis, and his global mindset have positioned MCC for a strong future of growth – both in the United States and abroad.”
Mr. Matsuo joined MCC in 2011 and rose through a series of positions before becoming Vice President of Business Intelligence in 2013.
The Yale graduate is an accomplished pianist and is Music Director of the 92Y Orchestra.
