Prosper Marketplace has hired longtime Capital One executive Kunal Kaul as its Executive Vice President of Operations. Mr. Kaul, who will report to COO Josh Tonderys, is charged with developing verification practices, business operations, collections and customer service.

Mr. Tonderys said Mr. Kaul’s contributions will help Prosper reach some lofty goals in 2016.

After joining Capital One as a Senior Product Manager in July, 2002, Mr. Kaul progressed through positions involving unsecured and home equity lending, home loan originations and retail bank mortgages.
