Russian bank Sberbank has added a transfer request feature to its a mobile application, a move which will help people raise funds for charities and events, the bank believes.
With Sberbank Online request recipients receive request notifications in a special section of the app. The request author can track fund transfers with push notifications.
“The Sberbank Online service has already become the standard of non-cash transfers in Russia thanks to its simplicity and ubiquity,” Sberbank Head of Digital Products Timur Smirnov said. “Our users often transfer money for gifts, collect funds for joint initiatives or to support someone. In the Sberbank Online mobile application, we have created a service that enables users to do this even more conveniently.”
This feature is available to all users of Sberbank Online mobile applications for iOS, Android and Windows Phone, and will be further improved based on customer feedback.
The iOS and Android versions also have personal financial management features and fingerprint authorization on devices with OS 6.0 and newer that have fingerprint support.
