International money transfer company WorldRemit has named Andrew Lee its president. He will work on global brand development and international expansion.
Mr. Lee joins WorldRemit from William Hill Online, where he was managing director in charge of digital transformation and mobile technology adoption. Hallmarks of his approach included a mobile-first approach and prioritization on customer feedback and data-led decision making.
It is an exciting time to join WorldRemit, Mr. Lee said.
“WorldRemit is growing rapidly and evolving quickly in terms of the number of people using its service, its international partnerships, technological capabilities and employee base. That makes it a very exciting time for me to join the team and share my experiences of other fast growing businesses and industries.”
Founder and CEO Ismail Ahmed believes Mr. Lee can draw valuable parallels from his past experience.
“Andrew brings a wealth of experience, most recently from an industry that has gone through a similar, rapid evolution to the one that money transfers are now experiencing.”
