P2P travel money exchange service WeSwap launches Seedrs crowdfunding campaign

Peer-to-peer travel money exchange service WeSwap has launched a crowdfunding campaign on United Kingdom crowdfunding site Seedrs. The funds are earmarked toward platform expansion, international growth and community development.

In a release WeSwap said it has grown by 204 percent and welcomed 200,000 new users in the past year. It has swapped tens of millions of pounds and saved users an estimated £1.2 million in fees. They secured  £6.5 million in funding led by Ascot Capital Partners and backed by existing investors EC1 Capital and IW Capital.

WeSwap charges a one percent fee.
