Financial services marketplace technology provider FinMkt has appointed Tim Duncan to its advisory board. He will consult on strategy and product development.
Two decades ago Mr. Duncan founded a company which employed the internet to deliver makes data, research and news to financial industry figures, later selling it to Thomson Reuters. He then became president of Thomson Interactive and led its digital transformation and the development of digital platform ThomsonOne.
After working for Governor Mitt Romney, Mr. Duncan founded and led the American Business Leaders for Financial Reform in support of the Dodd-Fank Act and participated in the development of its legislation.
He also worked with Elizabeth Warren on outreach and business communication initiatives. While Ms. Warren was special assistant to the president, she recruited Mr. Duncan to join the team launching the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau where he would serve as CIO and head of technology.
“We are thrilled to have Tim join the team,” FinMkt CEO Luan Cox said. “His deep passion and experience for fintech and the online lending space will help FinMkt continue our rapid growth.
