Personal finance marketplace Credible has named former Esurance chief marketing officer (CMO) Alan Gellman its first CMO.
Mr. Gellman also led digital marketing for Wells Fargo. He said he wants to help a consumer-centric growth stage company fulfill its promise.
“Credible’s mission of helping consumers make smarter financial decisions is enormously appealing to me, and the opportunities for scaling the company’s business are exciting,” Mr. Gellman said. “The disruptive approach to student lending – where Credible provides clear choices and active guidance – has tremendous potential to extend to other financial services categories.”
Mr. Gellman was named one of Business Insider’s “50 most innovative CMOs in the world” while with Esurance.
