StormX, the micro-gig innovator and creator of a popular crypto earning app, today announced former Amazon Principle product manager Andy Kleitsch as its vice president of product. Mr. Kleitsch will be responsible for delivering the world’s first decentralized micro-gig marketplace, enabling anyone, anywhere, to earn a living by completing tasks on their mobile phone.
“Andy will play an integral role in providing career opportunities for a global remote workforce, facilitating economic mobility for millions of unbanked workers,” CEO Simon Yu said. “Andy is passionate about improving the economic health of users around the globe, and I look forward to seeing Andy’s contribution to this new blockchain-enabled economy.”
Prior to joining StormX, Mr. Kleitsch led product teams across a wide range of mobile commerce companies, including the role of principal product manager Amazon Global Payments and senior product manager at AT&T Wireless.
“As a cryptocurrency enthusiast and bitcoin miner, I was instantly drawn to StormX’s unique vision of using cryptocurrencies and blockchain to enable anyone with a mobile device to earn a living wage,” Mr. Kleitsch said. “StormX’s technology can provide a path out of poverty and improve the livelihood of millions of unemployed or underemployed workers around the globe.”
The appointment follows a string of high-level additions to the StormX team. In January, digital industry veterans Jon Nolz and Perry Pak came on board StormX as EVP of business development and head of user acquisition respectively.
