Updated: June 20th, 2026

Aerodrome Finance coin hit a session high of $0.499 today, June 20, but couldn’t break past it. The AERO token closed at $0.491, making it the biggest 24-hour gainer in the top 100. It outperformed Polygon (+7.43%), JUST (+7.22%), and Jupiter (+6.38%). Over the last 24 hours, starting from $0.435, the price climbed nearly 13%. Still, the $0.50 mark repeatedly stopped the rally just short of a full breakthrough.

Trading activity backed up the Aerodrome price move. Spot volume hit $55.54 million, up 16.18%, with the volume-to-market-cap ratio at 11.8%, suggesting strong participation rather than a quick squeeze. AERO price is now up 22.33% year-to-date and 37.31% for the week.

There are solid fundamentals behind the buying. Aerodrome has processed over $70 billion in trading volume on Base in 2026, more than twice that of the next-largest DEX on the chain. The team has also announced plans to expand to the mainnet in July 2026.

On the supply side, the protocol’s PGF locked up another 170,000 AERO, bringing the total locked through PGF, Flight School, and Relay to over 190 million. This reduces the circulating supply, which stands at 956.81 million AERO out of a total of 1.92 billion, held by 747,470 holders.

Aerodrome Price Faces $0.50 Wall as RSI Nears Overbought

Aerodrome price is trading above all the moving averages tracked by TradingView on the daily, from the HMA9 at $0.488 to the EMA200 at $0.475 and the SMA200 at $0.422, while the 50-day SMA is much lower at $0.422. Most indicators suggest a strong Buy, and the RSI is currently at 67.59, so there’s still some room before it becomes overbought, but it does show the price is getting stretched.

Meanwhile, futures trading added to the momentum. Open interest increased by 20.97% to $49.92 million, according to Coinglass, and perpetual volume rose 33.65% to $75.75 million. Funding rates stayed only slightly positive at 0.0060%.

Right now, $0.50 is the key resistance level, and today’s price performance was rejected there. Technical analyst ChiefraT maintained that if the AERO price closes above $0.50, it could move up to $0.72 and $0.78. That’s the bullish outlook for the Aerodrome Finance coin from here.

Looking at the bigger picture, AERO is still down 2.84% over the past six months and 45.27% over the past year, even after gaining 19.29% this month and 310.37% overall. Unless the Aerodrome price closes above $0.50, this is just a recovery up to resistance, not a true breakout.
