Worldcoin price gained 14.48% on Friday as buyers forced WLD out of a multi-week descending channel. The advance coincided with renewed interest in Worldcoin crypto, which ranked among CoinMarketCap’s top-performing large-cap assets during the session.

At the time of writing, the Worldcoin coin traded around $0.4198 after climbing from an intraday low near $0.3667, while 24-hour trading volume reached roughly $424.23 million.

Worldcoin Price Climbs as Derivatives Activity Builds

Market participation strengthened beyond the spot market. WLD ranked among CoinMarketCap’s top gainers with a 13.27% daily increase, while social discussion highlighted growing adoption metrics, including 18 million verified users completing Orb verification and more than 30 million World App users.

Derivatives data also showed traders increasing exposure. Total derivatives volume climbed 13.71% to $905.07 million, while open interest jumped 20.52% to $330.83 million.

Positioning remained constructive despite an overall long-short ratio of 0.9916, nearly balanced. Binance accounts posted a long-short ratio of 1.1151; OKX traders stood at 1.95; Binance top traders recorded an accounts ratio of 1.3137; and their positions ratio reached 1.6542, indicating that larger professional traders continued to lean to the long side.

WLD Breaks Channel as Bullish Momentum Accelerates

The technical structure changed materially on the four-hour chart after the Worldcoin price broke above its descending channel, ending a multi-week markdown that culminated in a liquidity sweep near the lower support level of $0.3550.

That move flushed late sellers before buyers reclaimed control, producing a higher high above the last swing inside the channel and shifting the market from distribution toward accumulation.

Notably, trading activity had steadily faded as the WLD price compressed toward the channel’s apex, then expanded sharply on breakout candles toward 15.81 million.

Momentum indicators aligned with the price action. The Average Directional Index (ADX) measured 44.0304, showing trend strength remained elevated, while the positive Directional Indicator (+DI) crossed above the negative Directional Indicator (-DI), finishing at 25.1572 versus 14.9817. With ADX already above 40, the crossover points to a momentum reversal that could force short covering.

For the near-term Worldcoin price prediction, immediate resistance sits around $0.4550, followed by the upper horizontal resistance near $0.6500. A brief pullback toward the former channel boundary or the $0.4000 support zone would leave the breakout structure intact if +DI continues holding above -DI.

The defined invalidation level remains a four-hour close below $0.3850, while short-term profit-taking levels sit near $0.4500 and the broader technical objective stands at $0.6350.
