The LIT token rose about 14% on Monday morning as traders responded to Lighter’s updated tokenomics and the recent Robinhood Wallet integration. After hitting BanklessTimes’ $2.50 LIT token price prediction, Lighter coin continued to climb and became one of CoinMarketCap’s top daily gainers today. Trading activity picked up as the price moved higher, rather than slowing after the news.
Lighter announced it will start permanently burning tokens instead of buying them back and holding them, starting in Q3. Since launch, the protocol has bought back about 15.5 million LIT, or 6.3% of the circulating supply, and these tokens will now be burned perpetually.
This move brings Lighter’s approach closer to the supply-reduction methods used on other perpetual futures platforms. However, it is different from the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund, which uses about 97% to 99% of trading fees to buy HYPE on the open market before removing or locking those tokens.
Strong daily trading supported the Lighter price move. LIT’s 24-hour trading volume jumped 171.95% to about $135.8 million. During the session, Lighter traded near $2.58, with a market cap close to $642 million.
LIT Token Price Prediction Holds Bullish as Trend Indicators Stay Aligned
Lighter token price continues to trade comfortably above the 20-day simple moving average at $1.8479 after clearing the previously identified $2.50 objective. TradingView’s daily chart also keeps the Supertrend indicator firmly bullish, with support rising toward $1.7649 as the trend follows price higher rather than flattening.

Momentum remains stretched but has yet to reverse. The daily RSI stands at 78.67, placing the market in overbought territory, while the ADX has climbed to 41.17, indicating that the existing trend is strengthening.
Market analyst Satori identified a completed double bottom around $0.80-$0.85, followed by a high-volume breakout above $2.10, arguing that holders should monitor the $2.00-$2.10 region for pullback entries as the primary support area.
Another analyst, Louis.hl, described the Robinhood integration as validation for the broader perpetual DEX sector rather than a zero-sum battle with Hyperliquid, arguing that additional distribution partnerships strengthen the category as a whole.
For the near-term Lighter price prediction, traders will be watching whether buyers continue defending the breakout zone while momentum indicators remain aligned with the prevailing uptrend.
