Roketo, a real-time finance streaming solution built on the NEAR Protocol, announced it is sponsoring the “For Ukraine” fundraising hackathon organized by NEAR UA, taking place from May 6 to May 20.
The tasks for ethical hackers will be dedicated to solving important issues in the Ukrainian cultural domain revealed by the ongoing conflict.
Participants will be encouraged to create original fundraising projects to aid Ukrainian zoos for workers who lost their jobs as a result of the war and finance the restoration of cultural heritage sites based on 3D models.
Finding New Solutions on NEAR
The hackathon is aimed at finding new solutions based on the NEAR Protocol, and Roketo is hoping to facilitate fundraising and charitable payments for the victims of the conflict via finance streaming donations.
Complete Control of Donations
Oftentimes when donating money, good Samaritans don’t have a trustworthy tool to proceed. Roketo’s service provides people complete control and allows total transparency when providing donations and can be set up in less than a minute.
Roketo recommends hackers build a streaming solution that can be easily embedded in any website to become an easy-to-use means of payment. All deposits will be collected in the main account, which is easily trackable.
To facilitate the adoption of the tool, hackers will be able to purchase NEAR tokens with their credit cards, even if they don’t have a NEAR wallet.
Full Prize Pool is $20K in NEAR Tokens
Roketo has also announced a $2,000 in NEAR general prize and is also offering $3,000 in NEAR to the winners of the sponsored challenge. The full prize pool of the NEAR UA Hackathon “For Ukraine” is $20,000 in NEAR tokens.
Roketo’s CTO, Head of Product, and Head of Business Development will mentor participants to help them achieve the best results.
