Polygon (MATIC) has enjoyed significant growth in 2021, and it’s ending the year with a bang. Just before Christmas, the coin treated investors by hitting an all-time high.

MATIC’s aim to provide faster and less expensive transactions means that it stands in potential good stead for the long run. But just how high did the value of one coin rise, and where can you buy the currency? Let’s take a look.

How high did MATIC rise?

On 22nd December, MATIC’s price hit $2.70. Though its price has fluctuated wildly over the past month, the general curve has been upwards; on 23rd November, the value of 1 MATIC was $1.74.

MATIC got off to a slow start in 2021, and it wasn’t until the end of April that the coin’s value really took off. In that month, MANA went from $0.36 to $0.79. And in May, it rose to $2.45 — which was an all-time high at the time.

Where can you buy MATIC?

Many have tipped MATIC as a worthwhile long-term investment, and it’s one of the most intriguing altcoins on the market. If you want to join the party, you can buy the currency in several places online — but our top pick is eToro

eToro is completely free to sign up for, and you can trade using a long or short-term strategy that suits you best. The platform offers leverage and price charts for cryptocurrencies, along with several other tools. If you’re a beginner, you can also copy more experienced traders’ strategies and begin learning for yourself.

eToro supports trading in several languages, including English, German, French, and Spanish.

What does the future hold for MATIC?

While MATIC enjoyed significant success in 2021, don’t expect this to be the last of its growth. Going into 2022, many people have high hopes for the currency.

Several experts have commented on their hopes for Polygon’s price for 2022. Some predict that, at worst, it will be worth around $3.90 by the end of next year. In a better case scenario, the currency might rise above $4.60.

On the other hand, some have suggested that MATIC will only reach just above $3.45 by 2025. It’s unlikely that Polygon will continue shooting up as fast as it has, but considering it’s already not far from that figure, one can expect the coin to surpass it before then.
