The global relationship between Ripple and Thunes has expanded significantly, aiming to transform cross-border payments. This alliance is possible by the combined strength of Thunes’ enormous Direct Global Network and Ripple’s blockchain architecture.

Especially for areas with weak banking infrastructure, this partnership, announced on September 2, 2025, has the potential to make international money transfers quicker, cheaper, and much more accessible.

Ripple and Thunes Reshape Global Payments

Thunes and Ripple are expanding their integration to enhance consumer payout experiences and expedite “last-mile” delivery. This is in over 130 countries and 80 currencies, building on a fruitful partnership that was first established in 2020.

Through Thunes’ network, which links to more than 7 billion mobile wallets and bank accounts, Ripple’s corporate clients can access these services. These include banks, fintechs, and cryptocurrency companies, enabling better access to new markets and allowing for instant money withdrawal in local currencies.

With 320 payment options, including GCash, M-Pesa, AliPay, and WeChat Pay, Thunes’ network offers a quick and easy way to send money abroad. It also offers useful solutions for traditional banks, gig economy platforms, and mobile payment companies. Thunes enhances its SmartX Treasury System through the integration of Ripple Payments. This guarantees dependable real-time payouts even in places that traditional banks don’t serve.

The enlarged collaboration offers a direct route to financial inclusion for customers, particularly those in emerging nations. People may send and receive money worldwide using well-known mobile wallets and alternative payment methods.

Moreover, reduced transaction costs, decreased settlement risk, and the capacity to swiftly and safely expand payroll, payouts, and commerce into new areas are all advantages for businesses.

Leaders like Chloe Mayenobe, President and COO at Thunes, affirm this, saying,

“We are enabling digital asset companies to deliver seamless, compliant, and accessible cross-border payments at scale by supporting real-time settlement and deep local integrations.”
