Before selecting the best crypto roulette sites for 2025, I conducted an in-depth study beforehand. In fact, I took the time to test several platforms concretely by making real deposits and withdrawals to check whether everything worked as promised. This process allowed me to look beyond marketing promises and judge each casino on specific criteria.

The first point I evaluated concerned the accepted payment methods and cryptocurrencies. A good site should offer a diversity of solutions: Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDT, but also newer options such as Solana or TRON. This guarantees that everyone can play with the crypto that suits them best.

Next, I examined the size and quality of the bonuses. An attractive welcome bonus, complemented by regular promotions such as cashback or VIP rewards, is essential to prolong the gaming experience. However, I look for bonuses that include roulette, a variety of table variants, especially those with multipliers and reputable game providers.

Payout speed was another key factor. When you win online, you want to receive your winnings very quickly. That’s why I always choose casinos that offer fast, even instant, deposits and withdrawals.

Finally, I paid particular attention to the variety of roulette games and the security of the platforms. Between European roulette, Lightning or live versions with dealers, the diversity makes the experience much more immersive. As for security, every site in this selection has recognized licenses and solid protocols to protect players.

In short, only the casinos that combine speed, reliability, and enjoyable gameplay earned their place on this list.

How Crypto Roulette Works vs Traditional Roulette

The most straightforward way to explain the difference is that traditional roulette is a game where you play using fiat currencies, such as US dollars, Euros, or Pounds, whereas crypto roulette accepts bets using digital coins, such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin.

I will admit that the denominations may take some getting used to if you are new to crypto gaming. However, most sites allow you to display your crypto in USD, EUR, or GBP, while some sites break down your roulette chips into smaller crypto denominations, such as mBTC, mETH, or mETH. You can also play crypto roulette in US dollars, using stablecoins, with the most popular being USDT.

As for the gameplay, there is no difference between roulette games created by the same software providers. For example, Lightning Roulette, an award-winning live dealer game created by Evolution, offers the same gameplay whether you bet using fiat or crypto.

What Are Roulette Sites?

A roulette site is essentially an online casino that offers real-money games for betting, including multiple roulette games, online slots, blackjack, baccarat, and other popular games. You can gamble for real money or cryptocurrency, as some sites offer both, while others specialize in one or the other.

For cryptocurrency roulette sites, one of the key attractions is anonymity, which means you can sign up using an email and a password and the casino will never ask you for any personal information, such as your name, address or require you to send any identity verification. Of course, you may also see many people mention that crypto casinos offer fast withdrawals and large, as well as flexible, bonus deals, especially cashback.

  • Bet and win real money or crypto
  • Simple sign-up often with no ID needed
  • Fast withdrawals and big bonuses

How Bitcoin or Crypto Roulette Works

Bitcoin or crypto roulette games use chip denominations that represent the cryptocurrency you are using to bet. As mentioned above, that’s not always the case because some sites allow you to display your crypto in your preferred fiat currency to save you the hassle of having to figure out how much crypto you are betting.

There are also different variations of crypto roulette available. Some games, like those created by BGaming, offer provably fair results that you can manually verify, while most crypto roulette games use random number generators (RNGs), which do not allow you to verify results.

One of the trending ways to play crypto roulette today is to play on tables that offer an authentic land-based casino experience by playing live dealer games. These games are streamed live in real-time via HD webcams. They come with a live croupier, a real roulette wheel, and a live chat feature, allowing you to converse with the live dealer. Some of these games are even based in land-based casinos, equipped with a camera rig, allowing you to play the same game as those players who are physically present in the casino itself.

  • Place bets using cryptocurrency
  • Provably fair and RNG algorithms deliver random game results
  • Live crypto roulette game delivers random, non-computer-generated results in real-time

Game Selection and Software Providers

One of the biggest advantages of playing roulette online is the sheer variety of games, both live and RNG, on offer and the countless software providers delivering them. I remember the old days when the ‘Roulette’ section at online casinos would throw up a few tables featuring European, American and French formats of the game, and that’s it.

Nowadays, we have modern variations such as Evolution’s award-winning Lightning Roulette that features lucky numbers paying up to 500x the stake, and others that feature two balls, bonus rounds or other unique aspects that spice up the action.

For me, while I appreciate the increased winning potential and the ‘something different’ that newer variations can provide, I stick to regular European or French Roulette. In case you hadn’t realized, I’m a stickler for RTPs. As you’ll see in the tables below, these can drop significantly the more a roulette game deviates from the original. Oh, and please never play American Roulette.

Standard Variations of Roulette

There are three standard variations of roulette being French, European and American. While the premise is similar across all three, they each differ in terms of RTPs, rules and visual appearance.

For example, the biggest difference between American Roulette and the other two variations is the addition of a Double Green Zero, which increases the house edge and lowers the RTP. That’s exactly the reason why you shouldn’t play it over French or European Roulette.

Those two variations are extremely similar, with both featuring just a single green zero. French Roulette has a slight edge due to the La Partage rule, which gives it a slightly better RTP. You receive half your bets back on even-money wagers such as red/black or odd/even, when the ball lands on the green zero.

VariationZeros on WheelHouse Edge
European Roulette1 (Single Zero)2.7%
American Roulette2 (Double Zero)5.26%
French Roulette1 (Single Zero) + Special Rules1.35% (due to the la partage rule)

Modern Roulette Variants

Over the years, developers have moved to create modern variants of the classic casino table game, aimed at appealing to a wider audience. There are now bigger maximum wins, lucky balls with multipliers, bonus tables and even modified wheels with fewer or more pockets.

Lightning Roulette, which has won numerous awards, including the Game of the Year at the 2018 EGR Operator Awards, is one of the titles that started it all off. Delivered both live and in a ‘First Person’ RNG format, the game brought random lucky numbers holding multipliers of between 50x and 500x. Players who placed straight-up bets on a winning lucky number would have their regular payouts multiplied.

Other providers have since followed Evolution’s lead by creating similar titles, and even others that deliver other unique features.

Choosing Live Roulette

Live roulette has become one of the most popular ways to experience the game online. Instead of relying solely on computer graphics, a live stream connects you to a real croupier spinning a physical wheel in real time.

Essentially, it’s as close as you can get to a land-based casino roulette experience without the hassle of actually getting one. In fact, if you play at Duel Play tables from Evolution, Ezugi and a few other prominent live providers, you can actually play at tables in brick and mortar casinos. Via stream, you can place your bets on the same tables that visitors to the casino are physically betting on.

Along with the experience side of things is how results are determined. Virtual table games use a random number generator to determine results, which is fine. However, most live roulette games do not use a multiplier, at least when it comes to actual results from the wheel. RNGs can sometimes be used to generate the random lucky numbers and other bonus-style aspects in modern-day roulette variations.

Below are the main differences and advantages of RNG and live roulette games:

Regular Online Roulette (RNG)Live Dealer Roulette
Results are generated instantly by RNG softwareSpins are real (determined by the rules of physics) and performed by a trained croupier
Very fast pace, which is ideal for quick sessionsSlightly slower, more natural pace, which is better for immersion
Best for grinding strategies and testing betsBest for atmosphere and social experience
Usually accept lower minimum bets. Higher minimums are common at live tables
Solo gameplay, so no time limits on actionsMust complete actions in time to respect other players
The game is delivered graphicallyThe action is streamed live from a studio or land-based casino
Great for practice or warm-upsClosest experience to a real casino

Staying Safe While Playing Roulette

Staying safe playing when playing roulette essentially comes down to a combination of keeping your wits about you and utilizing some security measures. It also helps if you take steps to control your gambling habits and recognize when they might be getting out of hand.

Personally, I always use the following tips on top of always making sure I play at trustworthy crypto roulette casinos.

Step‑by‑Step Guide to Getting Started

Getting started with crypto roulette typically doesn’t take long, but knowing what to look out for can save you time and money. Below is a walkthrough of how to choose a site, pick the right version of roulette and make sure your deposits and withdrawals go through smoothly.

Choosing a Roulette Site

Always start with a platform that’s licensed and has a good reputation, especially when it comes to prompt payouts that are not hidden behind unfair withdrawal rules. Following that, you’ll want to make sure it has a good variety of roulette games across all variants. I once mistakenly just assumed that was the case, and wasted time and effort signing up to find nothing but a handful of higher RTP American Roulette games.

Below are some of the things I consider before deciding on a new crypto roulette site:

  • Roulette variations and house edges: Check whether the site offers European or French roulette with better odds and not just American roulette. A good mix of classic and modern variants, like Lightning or Double Ball, is a big plus. The main point is to make sure you can play your preferred variant and switch to others when you feel like a change.
  • Bonuses and promotions: Read the bonus wagering contribution table in the T&Cs carefully. Roulette often counts less than slots toward rollover, so don’t rely on bonuses to fund your entire crypto roulette play. Look for cashback or reloads that specifically include table games.
  • Withdrawal rules and general T&Cs: Probably my biggest advice is to read through the withdrawals section of a casino’s terms and conditions. Find out how quickly the platform processes payments and whether you’ll need to complete a KYC check. Furthermore, keep an eye out for deposit rollover rules. Some casinos may require you to wager your deposits 1x to 5x before you can withdraw them.

Deposits & Withdrawals

Making deposits and withdrawals at most crypto roulette casinos is quick and easy, especially on the platforms we’ve ranked and rated earlier in this guide.

Just follow the steps listed below:

Deposits

Assuming you’ve loaded your crypto wallet with a cryptocurrency a casino supports, funding your account is typically done like this:

  1. Log in to your chosen crypto roulette casino.
  2. Go to the ‘Deposit’ section in the cashier.
  3. Choose your preferred crypto and how much you’d like to deposit.
  4. Copy the wallet address or scan the QR code.
  5. Complete the transaction using your crypto wallet.
  6. Wait for the transaction to complete (can be seconds up to 10 minutes, depending on the crypto).

Withdrawals

Cashing out is just as straightforward, although you’re relying on prompt processing from the casino. Furthermore, if the platform requires a KYC check and you have not done one yet, the wait for your winnings increases.

  1. Now go to the ‘Withdrawal’ section in your casino account.
  2. Enter your withdrawal amount and provide your crypto wallet address.
  3. Double-check you entered that address correctly (get it wrong and your funds are gone for good).
  4. Confirm the request and wait for the casino to process your withdrawal.
  5. Once approved, transaction times depend on the crypto you used.

Cryptocurrency Options for Roulette

Your choice of cryptocurrency can make a big difference when playing online roulette. Volatile coins like Bitcoin or Ethereum can swing your bankroll as much as the wheel itself, while stablecoins give steady value without extra risk.

Most roulette casinos support the big names, but some also accept altcoins with lower fees, such as Ripple (XRP) or TRON (TRX) are perfect for players who move between sites often. The key is matching the right coin to your playstyle.

Use the table below to find out which cryptocurrencies fit best for roulette deposits and withdrawals.

Crypto TypeExamplesWhy Use It in Roulette?
StablecoinsUSDT, USDCPegged 1:1 to the US Dollar, so you don’t lose value to volatile crypto market swings while you play.
Speed-focused coinsLitecoin (LTC), Solana (SOL), Dogecoin (DOGE)Perfect for quick deposits and withdrawals that keep your sessions flowing smoothly.
Low-fee coinsTron (TRX), Stellar (XLM), Ripple (XRP)Great if you switch casinos often. Minimal fees make moving funds between platforms cheap and efficient.
Privacy coinsMonero (XMR), Zcash (ZEC)Useful if you want anonymous play and transactions that can’t be traced back to you.
Value-store coinsBitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin Cash (BCH)Widely accepted at almost every casino and best for larger deposits, though transactions can be slower and more expensive.

Best Bonuses on Crypto Roulette Sites

Crypto roulette sites run a wide range of promotions that can give your bankroll a boost, but the value depends on how you use them. Because roulette bets often contribute less toward wagering requirements than slots, it’s important to know which bonuses really pay off for table game players.

Below is a breakdown of the main bonus types you’ll come across and how to make the most of them.

  • Deposit Matches: The most common welcome deal. A site might offer a 100% match of your deposit up to a set amount in BTC, ETH, or USDT. For roulette, always check the wagering contribution table, as many casinos only allow 5% – 20% of roulette bets to contribute towards bonus wagering. On some sites, they may even be excluded from bonuses or contribute 0%.
  • Reload Offers: These are smaller versions of welcome bonuses that can be claimed weekly or on specific days. They’re ideal if you already plan to deposit regularly, though again, contribution rates matter.
  • Cashback: One of the best offers for roulette players. Cashback returns a percentage of your losses on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. Unlike deposit matches, these deals are often wager-free, which means they can instantly benefit your roulette bankroll.
  • Rakeback: Common on crypto-first platforms. You get back a percentage of every wager placed, win or lose. This is one of the few promotions that works well for roulette since it rewards volume, not outcomes.
  • Loyalty Programs: Many casinos run tiered VIP clubs or point-based systems that allow players to unlock benefits ranging from exclusive bonus deals and increased cashback rates to level-up bonuses and higher minimum withdrawals. Roulette wagers usually earn points, although you should check the T&Cs, as sometimes those points come at reduced rates.
  • Referral Deals: Some sites give bonus cash or spins when a friend signs up through your link and makes a deposit. Again, how much this benefits roulette players will depend on the promotion’s T&Cs and whether there’s wagering involved.
  • No-Deposit Bonuses: Less common at crypto sites, but sometimes you’ll see small amounts of free cash or chips credited on signup. These usually come with strict rollover requirements, and roulette bets may not qualify.

How to Claim & Maximize Them

Grabbing bonus deals is one thing, but making the most out of them is a whole different matter. I myself have made mistakes, such as making deposits when a day later I could have claimed a heftier bonus. Worse still, I have gotten bonus greedy on occasion, claiming too many across multiple sites, making it difficult to wager any of them in time.

Here’s a quick checklist of things to do and not do if you want to maximize your crypto roulette bonus deals:

  • Check contribution rates: Roulette almost never contributes a full 100% towards wagering requirements. Before claiming any bonus, always check the T&Cs to see where your roulette bets stand during wagering.
  • Time your deposits: Many reloads or cashback offers run weekly or on specific days. Sometimes it’s best to hold back on a deposit when you know an offer is coming around. Better yet, create a deposit schedule to maximize the promotions at your disposal.
  • Prioritize cashback/rakeback: Let’s be real, roulette players are hardly blessed with bonus offers that are of much use. The main exception is cashback and rakeback deals, especially those that come with low or zero wagering requirements. Grab these whenever you can.
  • Use loyalty tiers smartly: Rather than spending your loyalty points the moment you can afford a bonus deal, perhaps hold firm for better value offers. Loyalty point earnings can add up if you play consistently.
  • Read the fine print: Before claiming any bonus, priority number one is to read the bonus terms and conditions. You need to know the bet limits, whether roulette qualifies for bonus bets, and what the overall wagering requirements are.

This brings me to my next point, which is my expert tip for claiming roulette bonuses. Essentially, the point I want to emphasize is how to avoid bonus abuse.

Expert Tip For Claiming Roulette Bonuses

The one tip I have to offer, having seen many players make this mistake, is to avoid placing bets that violate the bonus rules. It is what online casinos call bonus abuse, which, on roulette, is bascially placing what the industry calls ‘guaranteed winning bets’.

Of course, if you can guarantee a win on every bet, you will convert your bonus into real money, but the casinos are hot on the heels of this tactic, and so it doesn’t work.

Bonus Abuse TacticWhy It’s Considered Abuse
Covering more than 70% of the tableBetting on more than 25 numbers guarantees wins, removing risk.
Covering both even and odd betsBetting on red/black or odd/even at the same time guarantees an outcome.
Covering more than one column/dozen betsBetting on multiple columns/dozens removes variance, creating a guaranteed result.

The worst part for those who try this tactic is that they don’t find out until after they have played through the wagering requirement and the casino reviews their claim, which it will subsequently deny. I’ve seen several forum complaints saying casinos did not convert their bonus, but when you get to the bottom of it, they tried to use a guaranteed winning bet strategy.

Tips for Playing Roulette

Roulette is easy to pick up, but mastering your approach takes a little more thought. From understanding how the wheel works to learning which strategies work the best, it never hurts to take on board a few tips. In this section, we’ll take you through your betting options

Understanding the Basic Principles of Roulette

At its core, roulette is about predicting where the ball will land on the wheel. I won’t go into a full, in-depth guide on how to play, as that would require a separate article to do the game justice.

However, these are the key points to understand:

  • Each betting round is called a coup
  • A roulette wheel has 37 numbers in European/French (0–36) or 38 in American (0–36 plus 00).
  • Numbers are not in sequence on the wheel.
  • Each pocket on the wheel alternates red/black, and there is a green 0 (and 00 on American roulette).
  • You will use various betting options to wager on where the ball will land after the wheel is spun.

Bet Types

Part of the attraction of playing roulette is the low to high-volatility bet types available, which include several options located on the outside and inside of the betting board. On top of this, there is an option to bet on a section of the wheels.

Bet TypeDescriptionExamples
Inside BetsWagers placed directly on individual numbers or small groups of numbers inside the main betting grid.Straight-up (single number), Split (two numbers), Street (three numbers), Corner (four numbers), Six Line (six numbers).
Outside BetsBets covering larger groups of numbers are found on the outside of the betting gridRed/Black, Odd/Even, 1–18 / 19–36, Dozens (1–12, 13–24, 25–36), Columns.
Racetrack / Section BetsFound on the racetrack layout (mainly in European/French roulette), covering sections of the wheel rather than the table grid.Voisins du Zéro, Tiers du Cylindre, Orphelins, Neighbors (5-number bet).

Betting Strategies

Betting strategies have existed since the beginning of time, or at least since the beginning of gambling. The thing is, while we’d all love to find a strategy that guarantees wins, I have to be honest, there is no surefire system that guarantees wins. Having said that, there are plenty of betting strategies that ‘can’ work in the right conditions and when the luck/RNG gods shine down on you. Some of the most common include:

Martingale

The Martingale system is one of the oldest and simplest, and in my personal view, one of the worst. You double your stake after every loss, with the goal of recovering all losses once you eventually win. Once that win comes, you reset back to your base bet and start over.

To make it clear, you’d bet your base bet unit, say 10 USDT.  If it lost, you’d then bet 20 USDT on the next coup. That bet doubles again following a second straight loss.

  • First bet: 10 USDT – If you lose, move to the next step.
  • Second bet: 20 USDT – Lose again, double up.
  • Third bet: 40 USDT – Another loss means keep doubling.
  • Fourth bet: 80 USDT – The losses start adding up fast.
  • Fifth bet: 160 USDT – Now you’re chasing 150 USDT in total losses.
  • On a win: You recover all previous losses + 10 USDT profit (your original base unit). Then reset back to 10 USDT.

That sounds great on paper, as eventually you should recoup your losses, right? Well, suffer a 10+ losing streak, and the bets needed to keep the strategy going become unrealistically high.

At that point, you’ll either hit the table limit or drain your bankroll long before the system has a chance to recover. It’s a perfect example of why strategies that look foolproof in theory can collapse quickly in real play.

Piroli

Otherwise known as the Reverse Martingale, this strategy feels safer because you’re pressing wins instead of chasing losses. You double your bets after every win, instead of every loss. This time, you reset back to your original bet once you lose.

In practice, though, most players rarely hit the three or four consecutive wins needed to make it worthwhile. I’ve tried it plenty of times and usually ended up resetting back to my base bet before anything meaningful built up. It’s less dangerous than Martingale, but still highly dependent on catching a lucky streak.

Quadrant Strategy

I’m not the biggest fan of roulette strategies. But the Quadrant is my go-to when I do decide to try to game the system.

It breaks the wheel (or betting board) into four sections and focuses your bets on one or up to three of those quadrants. You cover all numbers with bets in each of the quadrants you choose.

The aim is to reduce variance by covering anywhere from 25% to 75% of the table, which gives you steadier outcomes than purely chasing single numbers.

How it works:

  • Divide the wheel into four quadrants of nine numbers. Place straight bets, or a mix of straight/split/corner bets, to cover all numbers in your chosen section (s).
  • If you cover 25% of the board, you stand a 1 in 4 chance of winning. 50% gives you 1 in 2, and 75% gives you a 3 out of 4 chance.
  • When you win, you get a payout from one covered number. This will offset your other lost bets and leave some profit on top. You can rinse and repeat, choose different quadrants or quit while you’re ahead.
  • When you lose, well, you lose. The pain of that loss depends on how many quadrants you bet on. Obviously, if you covered 75% of the board and still lost, that’s going to sting.

Can I just give a heads-up that covering 75%, or even 70% of the board, is not a good idea when wagering bonuses? It is considered by many crypto casinos as irregular betting and essentially hedging your bets to get favorable odds when wagering bonuses.

Stick to covering no more than 50% of the board per coup, and you shouldn’t lose your bonus funds.

Final Thoughts

Crypto roulette combines everything players want in a modern casino experience. There are fast withdrawals, increased privacy and bigger bonuses than most fiat sites can match. Add in the huge variety of roulette games at their disposal, from European and French tables to Lightning and provably fair crypto versions, and it’s clear why so many players are making the switch.

His writing focuses on the practical side of crypto gaming adoption, drawing from real experience as someone who was there when online casinos first launched and who understands both traditional gaming mechanics and crypto market dynamics. Jim writes about what actually works, what doesn't, and where the industry is heading based on patterns he's seen repeat over decades. Alongside BanklessTimes, Jim also writes for Pokerfuse, Irishcasinosites, Casinosetc, Blockchainland, Demoslot and more.
