Swiss bank Credit Suisse and the Swiss Football Association are collaborating on the release of a non-fungible token (NFT) collection in support of the Swiss Women’s National Team and girls’ football, according to a post on CS’s website.
100% of proceeds for women’s football
The national team and other organizations that support women in football will receive all of the proceeds from the NFT collection sale. The collection consists of 756 NFTs, minted on the Ethereum Mainnet. They can be bought on Credit Suisse’s digital banking app starting 11 July until 31 August.
Three rarity levels
You can acquire NFTs in three different rarity levels – unique, rare, and limited. The unique ones are 1x per player with a total of 11 NFTs, and each one costs CHF 10,000.00. There is a physical (160 cm x 120 cm; painted on a canvas) and a digital portrait of the respective player and a one-on-one meet and greet with the player during team gathering. The buyer also gets a signed jersey.
The rare NFTs are 5x per player with a total of 55. Each costs CHF 3,500.00. There is a physical (100 cm x 75 cm; painted and printed) and a digital portrait of the respective player as well as a meet and greet.
Finally, limited NFTs are 30x per player and 690 in total. They are selling for CHF 150.00 each. This level comes with a digital portrait of the player and a signed A4 print of the NFT.
Additional perks
Payment for the NFTs can only be made in CHF. There are no additional fees and Swiss legal framework conditions apply. The NFTs are held in a CSX wallet, within which the digital image is stored and displayed.
Sandra Caviezel, head of partnerships and sponsorship at Credit Suisse, commented that she was excited NFTs could be used to help fund and drive growth of women’s football in the country.
