  • The collaboration is based on Blockchain4Youth initiative, in which Bitget will invest $10M
  • It will close the gap between real-world applications and academic learning

Leading web3 company and crypto exchange Bitget and the University College London’s (“UCL”) Blockchain Society and FinTech Society have partnered to educate students in blockchain technology and trading, Bankless Times learned from a press release.

Specialized lectures and practical knowledge

The partnership will give access to a combination of practical knowledge on trading and blockchain, interactive sessions, and expert lectures. The collaboration is based on Bitget’s Blockchain4Youth initiative, in which the exchange plans to invest $10 million over the next five years.

Two leading world societies

Both the UCL Blockchain Society and the UCL Fintech Society were founded in 2016. The Blockchain Society is a platform for aspiring blockchain strategists and developers to partner and connect with their industry peers.

UCL FinTech Society is the biggest platform of its kind in Europe. Both platforms let students access emerging tendencies and new career opportunities through conferences, workshops, and networking events.

Combining theory and practice

The partnership between Bitget and UCL will close the gap between real-world applications and academic learning, rendering trading concepts and blockchains accessible and practical. The educational program gives students theoretical tools and the knowledge to apply them in a dynamic marketplace.

Investing in the talents of the future

Young talents need to be prepared for new opportunities and challenges as the blockchain ecosystem becomes more and more complex. Such partnerships are a sign that the educational system can keep up with technological innovation as the line between finance and technology becomes thinner and thinner.

Bitget Managing Director Gracy Chen commented:

With our partnership with UCL, we are able to extend our educational initiatives to a diverse group of passionate young individuals who are eager to learn about this transformative technology. Through strategic collaborations and partnerships with esteemed entities like UCL and renowned Argentinian footballer Lionel Messi, Bitget actively encourages individuals to embrace cryptocurrencies and nurtures a genuine passion for this field.
