With the help of Chainlink’s state-of-the-art Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP), Maple Finance has formally launched its lending protocol on Solana.

The move opens up new possibilities for lenders, borrowers, and the broader DeFi ecosystem by integrating Maple’s robust institutional lending infrastructure with one of the world’s fastest and most liquid blockchains.

Maple Finance, known for providing decentralized, undercollateralized loans to crypto-native institutions, has coordinated over $30 million in liquidity for its Solana debut and earmarked $500,000 in incentives to jumpstart adoption. The move is backed by the Robinhood-supported Global Dollar Network (GDN), with the USDG stablecoin serving as a key supply asset. Additionally, Maple’s syrupUSDC token is now accessible on leading Solana-native platforms like Kamino and Orca.

Chainlink Enables Cross-Chain DeFi

The integration of Chainlink’s CCIP enables secure, scalable, and seamless interoperability between Solana and over 57 other blockchains, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and BNB Chain. Its infrastructure has already secured trillions in transaction value and earned the trust of both leading DeFi protocols and major financial institutions.

To create a genuinely integrated DeFi ecosystem, CCIP enables the safe movement of data and assets across Solana and other networks. The v1.6 version of the protocol supports fast scaling across hundreds of blockchains by streamlining the design and substantially lowering transaction costs.

Low fees, high throughput, and a growing developer community all put Solana in a strong position to attract a sizable amount of capital and liquidity from both traditional and crypto-native firms. The integration with Chainlink strengthens Solana’s position as a link between EVM and non-EVM chains, increasing its attractiveness to tokenized real-world asset (RWA) efforts and asset managers.

How DeFi Benefits

Maple’s arrival on Solana—supported by Chainlink’s CCIP—marks a new era for institutional lending and capital markets on-chain. Lenders can now access diversified, permissioned lending pools managed by credit experts, while borrowers gain efficient, transparent access to uncollateralized loans. The expansion could drive capital efficiency, deepen liquidity, and accelerate the adoption of tokenized assets across the crypto ecosystem.
