The much-anticipated winter World Cup in Qatar has commenced, with the Premier League taking a break to make way for it. As the tournament progresses, it's becoming increasingly clear that the English Premier League significantly impacts the world stage. According to BanklessTimes.com, English Premier League (EPL) players have nearly two-thirds more representation at the 2022 World Cup than Spanish La Liga players. EPL players have 136 participants, while La Liga only has 83.

This is a testament to the strength of the EPL and its ability to attract world-class talent. The league's competitive nature means that each team continually strives for excellence, which in turn breeds success on the international stage. This is evident when we look at the performance of the EPL teams in recent major tournaments, such as the 2018 World Cup, where England was able to make it all the way to the semi-finals.

Premier League Season on Pause

It's also worth noting that the EPL will soon resume its fixtures after the World Cup. Executives of all 20 Premier League clubs were in London last summer for a scheduled meeting, and the program for 2022/23 was decided. There are set to be only six weekends without Premier League games when the tournament concludes on December 18.

The number of players from the EPL at this World Cup is impressive, showing the quality of football in the league. The Premier League is a powerful force in world football, and with its players performing well at the World Cup, it's sure to have even more impact. With so much talent on display, there's no doubt that fans are in for an exciting season ahead when the EPL resumes again.

What Makes the Premier League So Exciting?

The Premier League is home to some of the greatest footballers in the world. The level of play is incredibly high, with star players like Kevin De Bruyne, Erling Haaland, Harry Kane, and Mohamed Salah. In addition, the Premier League is also very unpredictable. Any team can beat any other on any given day. This makes for a thrilling experience for fans and makes every match a must-see on TV.

Another reason why the Premier League is so exciting is because of the rivalries between teams. The “Big Six” teams in England are all fiercely competitive with one another. These matches are always heated and full of passion. The fans are just as passionate as the players on the pitch. This creates an electric atmosphere at stadiums around the country.

Some of the most popular clubs in the Premier League include Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur. These clubs have some of the largest fan bases in England and worldwide. Whenever these teams play each other, it’s sure to be a great match.
