  • Arbitrum can perform up to 40,000 transactions per second, Ethereum - up to 40
  • OKX is offering Arbitrum-related rewards, giveaways, gas discounts, and the airdrop

OKX, the second biggest global crypto exchange by trading volume with over 50 million users worldwide, has listed Arbitrum (ARB) on its perpetual and spot trading markets, Bankless Times learned from a press release. ARB deposits will become available on March 22 at 04:00 AM UTC.

L2 blockchain achieves 40K transactions/sec

Arbitrum is a Layer 2 blockchain and technology suite created to scale Ethereum. It combines several transactions into one using rollups, improving scalability and reducing on-chain transaction costs in the process.

This makes it possible for Arbitrum to attain the impressive 40,000 transactions per second, and for much cheaper in terms of gas fees compared to the Ethereum Mainnet. In comparison, that tops out at 40 transactions per second.

OKX launches generous giveaways

OKX is offering a number of Arbitrum-related rewards, including giveaways and gas discounts apart from the airdrop. To be eligible, you must trade on the Arbitrum network starting March 23, when the Arbitrum Extravaganza Campaign will be taking place.

To take part in the generous 100,000 USDT Arbitrum airdrop pool, users of OKX Wallet must claim the drop and interact on the Arbitrum network at least once. They must use the address they used to claim the airdrop and claim it in 72 hours or less.

The exchange will perform three lottery draws to choose 100 winners, who will get $50 worth of USDT each for interacting on the Arbitrum network using OKX Wallet. The user will receive the reward for each campaign to his Arbitrum address within two weeks of the end of the campaign.

Full refund on gas fees

Last but not least, the exchange will cover the gas fees for cross-chain transfers and refund the gas used for a certain number of transactions in full. The transfers are set at one per address per day, with the maximum amount per transaction subsidized being 20 USDT.

The gas fees for the first three transactions that a user carries out per day using the exchange’s wallet on Arbitrum will be refunded. The deadline to complete these is March 29 at 02:00 PM UTC.
